ABOUT ME
Amanda Hughes is a discipleship pastor and licensed minister with the
Assemblies of God, devoted to helping believers walk confidently in their
faith—even when they feel unqualified, unseen, or unsure. Her ministry is
marked by a deep love for Scripture, a passion for practical theology, and a
commitment to equipping everyday Christians to recognize and respond to
the spiritual realities shaping their lives.
Her journey with Jesus is anything but conventional. Raised in the rural
farmlands of Northwest Ohio, Amanda’s early life was shaped by both
hardship and hope—snow drifting through the seams of a makeshift
childhood home, hymns echoing through the halls of a small Nazarene
church, and the quiet, steady pull of a calling she wouldn’t fully understand
until adulthood.
At seventeen, life demanded she grow up fast. At eighteen, she chose a
different path—one that carried her far beyond the boundaries of her small
town. Amanda enlisted in the United States Navy, beginning a 21‑year
career that took her around the world, placed her in operational units
alongside Marines and Seabees, and taught her the language of strategy,
logistics, and warfare. It was also where she met the love of her life, who
introduced her to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
After retiring as a Navy Chief Petty Officer, Amanda stepped into
ministry—first reluctantly, then wholeheartedly. Called to lead women’s
ministry at her local church, she stripped away the fluff and leaned into
depth, discipleship, and biblical clarity. What began as a 20‑minute
message to a group of women eventually grew into Spiritual Logistics, her
first book designed to help believers understand what spiritual warfare is,
what it isn’t, and how to walk in victory through Christ.
Today, Amanda serves as a discipleship pastor in Beaufort, South Carolina,
where she lives with her husband and their son. Her life and ministry
reflect God’s grace, His ability to redeem every chapter, and the power of
simple obedience to change everything.

STATEMENT OF FAITH
I believe:
In one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternally existent and actively at
work in the world.
-
God is the Creator, Sustainer, and Redeemer of all things.
That the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God.
It is the foundation for truth, the guide for life, and the lens through
which we understand God’s heart and His purposes.
That Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man.
-
He lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose again, and offers
salvation, freedom, and eternal life to all who believe.
That salvation comes by grace through faith, not by works.
-
Every believer is invited into a restored relationship with God
through the finished work of Jesus.
In the present ministry and empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
-
He convicts, comforts, equips, and empowers believers to live out
their faith with boldness, wisdom, and spiritual authority.
That the Church is the body of Christ on earth.
-
Every believer has a role, a calling, and a purpose in God’s mission.
That spiritual warfare is real, but victory belongs to Jesus.
-
Believers are not called to live in fear, but to walk in discernment,
authority, and confidence through the power of the Holy Spirit.
That Jesus Christ will return, and His Kingdom will be fully established.
-
Until that day, we live faithfully, love deeply, and steward our lives for
His glory.
